Visiting PrattMWP College of Art and Design
All students and families are invited to visit PrattMWP’s beautiful campus in upstate New York. It includes exquisite architecture, prestigious MWPAI art collections, a sculpture court, internationally renowned galleries, generous on campus housing, dining, and modern, fully-equipped studios.

Campus Tours (Fridays only)
Campus tours are available on Fridays only at 10am and 2pm. Tours last about one hour and fifteen minutes and include most art and design studios, residence halls, computer labs, library, cafeteria, campus store, and the renowned MWPAI Museum. View available dates and schedule online.
Optional portfolio reviews/meetings with a counselor are available before or after campus tours. All students are encouraged to meet with a counselor. See details below.
Information Sessions are offered on Fridays and include a campus tour (described above), optional portfolio review/meeting, and a presentation about PrattMWP, its programs, and admissions and portfolio requirements.
Open House events include campus tours (described above), optional portfolio reviews/meeting, presentation on our program, departmental discussions with faculty and the opportunity to meet with administrative offices including admissions, student life, financial aid and academics.
Open House Schedule
12 – 12:15 pm: Student Check-In (Museum of Art)
Please arrive no later than 12:15 pm.
12:15 pm – 1:30 pm: Admissions Presentation
(Museum of Art, Sinnott Family - Bank of Utica Auditorium)
Presentation topics include PrattMWP’s programs, application/portfolio requirements, student life offerings, the relocation to Pratt Institute, a Q&A session, faculty and staff introductions, and more.
1:30 pm – 2:30 pm: Campus Tours
Tours will be guided by current students and will showcase all school buildings including the library and residence halls.
2:30 pm – 4 pm: Portfolio Reviews and Reception (Studio Building)
Optional portfolio reviews are available. Prior registration is encouraged. Full-time faculty and professional staff will also be available to answer questions.
Food and beverages will be provided by Bon Appetit, PrattMWP’s on-site food service provider.
Portfolio Reviews/Counselor Meetings (available Monday through Friday)
Counselor meetings/portfolio reviews are optional and simply to give you advice and feedback on your work/portfolio. They are not required for admission. Our counselors are happy to answer questions about PrattMWP’s requirements, programs and campus. Review our portfolio guidelines online. These events are an excellent opportunity to meet with us in a location near you to discuss your interests in art and design and to receive feedback and advice on your artwork/portfolio as well as information about PrattMWP, its programs and requirements.
