Join us October 5 to 7, 2018 for PrattMWP’s Family and Alumni Weekend celebration. Family and Alumni Weekend is a great opportunity for current students and their families to connect with PrattMWP alumni, faculty, staff and campus administrators while participating in a slate of events showcasing the PrattMWP experience and the rich cultural offerings of Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute.

 

Tentative Schedule

 

Friday, October 5

11 a.m. – 5 p.m. – Campus Store Open

1 – 5 p.m. – Check-in for families and Alumni, Studio Building
Here families and Alumni will check in and receive an up-to-date calendar of events.

2  – 4 p.m. Studio Class Observations
The artistic experience at PrattMWP is one of a kind. We will open the doors of our studios and classrooms to families and Alumni so that they can see the power of the PrattMWP experience first hand.

1 - 4 p.m. PrattMWP Gallery in the Museum of Art, Fountain Elms 2nd Floor
View current works by our talented and distinguished faculty on display in the PrattMWP Gallery in the Museum of Art.

5 – 7 p.m. Dinner, Student Center*
Families and Alumni are welcome to enjoy the wonderful offerings of our dining hall throughout the course of Family and Alumni Weekend.

5 - 7 pm First Fridays Happy Hour! - Social Event, Munson-Williams-Proctor Edward Wales Root Sculpture Court
Join us for an evening of socializing in Munson-Williams-Proctors Edward Wales Root Sculpture Court with music provided by Opus Black String Quartet.

7:30 pm MWPAI Film Series, Sinnott Family - Bank of Utica Auditorium, Museum of Art

 

Saturday, October 6

10:30 – 11:45 a.m. Art and Yoga, Museum of Art*Each class offers a 15-minute introduction to art in the gallery followed by one hour of yoga. All levels of ability are welcome.

11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. – Campus Store Open

11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Brunch, Student Center*
Families and Alumni are welcome to enjoy the wonderful offerings of our dining hall throughout the course of the weekend.

1 p.m The Met: Live in HD Series: Aida, Sinnott Family - Bank of Utica Auditorium, Museum of Art*

2 - 4 p.m. Student Gallery Opening, 14 Cottage
Come celebrate and enjoy the work of our sophomore students.

4 p.m. Tour Utica’s Saranac Brewery
The tour starts promptly at 4 p.m.
For those who require transportation, a bus will be available outside the Student Center at 3:30 p.m. Return trips to campus will occur at 5:30  and 6:30 p.m.

Reception to follow.

6 p.m. Alumni Only Meet Up at Nail Creek, 720 Varick Street, Utica, NY 13502

5 – 7 p.m. Dinner, Student Center*

8 p.m. Leon Etienne, Illusionist, Sinnott Family - Bank of Utica Auditorium, Museum of Art*
As seen on America’s Got Talent and Penn and Teller: Fool Us, be amazed by the jaw dropping critically acclaimed hit stage show starring America's Rock Illusionist Leon Etienne!

 

Sunday, October 7

11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Brunch, Student Center*
Families and Alumni are welcome to enjoy the wonderful offerings of our dining hall throughout the course of the weekend.
