Daniel Buckingham PrattMWP Professor of Sculpture Featured in Solo Exhibition at the Everson Museum
Daniel Buckingham, Professor of Sculpture at PrattMWP, will be featured in a solo exhibition Secret Invitation at the Everson Museum in Syracuse, May 10 through August 10. Daniel will be giving a public lecture at the Everson
6:30 p.m., May 29.
Of his creations, Daniel states, “My work functions as a structure for social interaction, offers a place to meet others from our community, to discuss current events, play, and perhaps a place to fall in love. My work is informed by my extensive 8-year bicycle trip around the world where I explored over 50 diverse countries. During this incredibly rich experience I found myself living within the history of the Silk Road and its extensive cross cultural exchanges and social interactions.”
The largest piece entitled Search/Exchange/Invite, was supported by a Faculty Summer Enrichment Grant from MWPAI.
