Great Fitness Opportunities for Art Students

fitness center 9459470724 oThe PrattMWP campus is in a great location for students who enjoy exercising and working out. The students have access to a wide range of fitness activities through select partnerships with various nearby organizations listed below.

Utica College

PrattMWP has an agreement in place with Utica College where, with a student ID, all PrattMWP students can use the Utica College fitness center and athletic facilities. PrattMWP students can also join Utica College intramural events as well as attend any games for student prices.

Gym Facilities

Body Alive Gym - 1301 Oneida Street
Memberships have been purchased by the Student Life Office. Students must show their PrattMWP ID for entrance to the gym.

Thursday Yoga

Every Thursday during the academic year, Art Yoga Cat provides yoga for students. Yoga mats are provided.


We offer a variety of clubs which engage in physical activity, such as the Volleyball Club, Bike Club, Dance Club, and even Basketball Club. The clubs on campus are student-run, which offers an opportunity for growth depending on the interests and involvement on campus.

Municipal parks

Opportunities abound for hiking, bicycling, skiing, skating, golf, tennis and other activities through Utica’s municipal park system.


The picturesque Adirondack Mountains with numerous ski centers, lakes, parks and campgrounds are less than one hour’s drive from downtown Utica
