VETERANS' EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS

The Department of Veterans Affairs administers a variety of education benefits programs. The most common benefit program used is the Post-9/11 GI Bill for dependent children. The Department of Defense may also allow eligible veterans to transfer educational benefits to dependent children. Benefits can be applied to tuition, fees, housing, and books/supplies. NEW YORK STATE ACCESS_VR

Vocational Rehabilitation provides a full range of services and financial assistance to help eligible individuals with disabilities meet their career goals. For further information, students should contact the nearest district office of Adult Career and Continuing Education Services-Vocational Rehabilitation. District office locations can be found here.

NYS SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

This program provides scholarship assistance to outstanding New York State high school graduates. Students must have graduated from a New York State high school, be matriculated full time at an institution located in New York State, be in good academic standing, be a US citizen or qualifying non-citizen, and not be in default of a student loan. Students should contact their high school guidance counselor to apply.
